Book Of The Month Club - Ugh
I gave this as a gift for the holidays and thought I'd try it myself for the free 1 month trial. The service itself seems okay.
BUT at no point was I warned that it would auto-renew (either in the initial intro e-mail or prior to the autorenew). Well, it auto-renews, they don't respond to requests to cancel (of course, you can't cancel via the website) and when I called, the woman on the line literally argued with me over the lack of notification. Wow. I checked all my e-mails again, and nope, no notification.
She was rushed to get off the phone, said she would refund my money, and literally just hung up.
Ugh. I'd avoid this company.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
